Fixed broadband wireless system design

The growing demand for high-speed data connections to serve a variety of business and personal uses has driven an explosive growth in telecommunications technologies of all sorts including optical fiber, coaxial cable, twisted-pair telephone cables, and wireless. Nations have recognized that telecommunications infrastructure is as significant as roads, water systems, and electrical distribution in supporting economic growth. In developing countries it is not particularly unusual to see cell phone service in a town or village that does not yet have awater or sewer system.
