Crisis management in tourism

Let me begin, on behalf of the entire PATA family, by expressing our sympathies to the families and friends of people who perished on 26 December 2004. Many of them were tourism industry colleagues or tourists. Since that fateful day, we have seen an outpouring of
humanitarian compassion around the world. The unprecedented global fundraising response indicates how the plight of the victims and survivors emotionally impacted all of us regardless of our background.
